The support of adobe flash officially ended on 31st December 2020. Flash helped create a messy, amateur internet. Big Tech has transformed it into a glossy and corporate one. Flash played an important role for people who don’t own a console. Flash games and animation where we have our fondest memories.

Let’s take a look back at Flash, understand the problem with flash, and how to enjoy the old content in 2021 and beyond.

Unofficially flash died in April 2010 itself, when Steve Jobs announced that flash would not run on the iPhones. Adobe also stated that from January 12, 2021, it will start blocking Flash content from running altogether. Also, Adobe recommended uninstalling Flash entirely citing security reasons. There will be no updates to Flash, nor will be available to download old versions directly from adobe.

It is recommended to avoid installing any older versions of Flash player due to security issues. If you still want to use play or use Flash content, there are options but none of them will be supported by Adobe.
