OpenAI and Stack Overflow partner to bring more technical knowledge into ChatGPT that could potentially improve the performance of AI models and get more better on answering technical topics.
Details of OpenAI & Stack Overflow Deal
The first set of integration will let OpenAI have access to Stack Overflow’s API and will receive feedback from the developer community to improve the performance of AI models. OpenAI, in turn, will give Stack Overflow attribution in ChatGPT. Users of the chatbot will see more information from Stack Overflow’s knowledge archive if they ask ChatGPT coding or technical questions.
“Stack Overflow and OpenAI today announced a new API partnership that will empower developers with the collective strengths of the world’s leading knowledge platform for highly technical content with the world’s most popular LLM models for AI development.”
“Learning from as many languages, cultures, subjects, and industries as possible ensures that our models can serve everyone. The developer community is particularly important to both of us. Our deep partnership with Stack Overflow will help us enhance the user and developer experience on both our platforms,”
- Brad Lightcap, COO at OpenAI
